First a little accent: Very recently. I decided to to act an attempt at learning how to displace as i thought it would help alter my 3d skills. Soooo about a month ago. I sat down with a be two pencil a pad of paper and a compose picture and got drawing (resulting in the first image below). Since then. I have been drawing a bit now and then. Although right now I have done mainly human heads. I intend on making an attempt at animals as come up as non-organic figures in the come future. Both Drawings are locate off of a reference visualise (which I googled). My first drawing below is based on a drawing by Leonardo DaVinci. The back up is based on a photo of an Arab (Egyptian I believe) woman. They aren't on par with the other bring home the bacon around here so any crits tip/tricks anyone might undergo to furnish would be very kind.
convey you for contributing to this section. Also thanks for explaining the background. What I hope to be doing in this section is to do my best to provide tips and ideas about approaches to drawing. My advice about studying animals is this if sketching from life get some anatomy books on the animal subjects first. Study there skeleton and the most prominant aspects of their go across structore. That way before you even begin to draw you understand them from the inside out. There is nothing more dishearting in my personal experience is going out into the field to "draw" and be dishearted by the results. I had an art teacher many years ago that took us out on a handle move and before we began sghe said "displace what you see". This was a useless piece of advice considering it was obvious by our experience that we could only displace what we knew. What we knew about the subject was rather limited so the result from everyone in the class was discourageing. You are limited by your knowledge of the affect understand as much about its composition in anatomy before you mouth to confront the subject. Drawing from the field is the most challenging and also "can" be the most rewarding if their is a good basic understanding of the subjects underlying structor. Please affix more drawing and once again thankyou
Thank you for the advice. I experience what you mean by disheartening results. Not long ago I attempted an image that was simply too complex for my current abilities. The results left me feeling a bit alter however it gave me a good idea of what specific areas I needed to bring home the bacon on. As for studying anatomy. I have a few good books that might be of use. Does anyone know of some good art-oriented anatomy books?
